Boer te Warga en genoemd aldaar in 1610.
Bij de scheiding tussen de 2 broers Murk en Sybren in 1616 wordt hij eigenaar van de state "Hemptewierum", stem 23, maar is hij gebruiker van Jornastate, stem 24.
Eigenaars van Jornastate zijn de erfgenamen van zijn overleden broer Oene.
In 1633 protesteert hij met anderen voor het Hof van Friesland tegen inpoldering van het aangrenzende Jornahuistermeer, maar na overeenstemming wordt begonnen met de droogmaking.
In 1636 is hij gedaagde in een proces met als eiser Piter Claessen.
