Mrs. Ruth J. Wilkinson, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Sunset Nursing Home, Boonville, after a long illness. The former Ruth Jones was born in the Town of Turin Jan. 29, 1896, a daughter of William R. and Jane Jeanette Jones Jones. She was educated at Houseville and Turin schools.
Mrs. Wilkinson cared for children in their homes in the Turin area for many years. She married Lewis H. Wilkinson.
Mrs. Wilkinson was a member of the Turin Methodist Church, the Women's Society for Christian Service of that church, Dirigo chapter. Order of Eastern Star, and the Turin Grange.
She is survived by several cousins. Funeral services were Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Trainor Funeral Home, Boonville with the Rev. Robert F. Nay, pastor of the Lowville Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Turin Cemetery.
