Jochem en Grietje woonden na hun huwelijk vermoedelijk in de Beulake, waar hun dochter Geesje wordt geboren. Bij de geboorte van hun zoon Hendrik (in 1705) wonen zij binnen de stad Vollenhove. In 1748 woonde Jochem met zijn vrouw Grietje in de Visscherstraat in het 3e huis; bij hen woonde in de weduwe van Harm Opperman. Naast hen woonde hun zoon Gerrit met zijn vrouw Annetje Jans en hun kinderen. Hun dochter Geesje woonde met haar man Jacob van Gulik (zonder kinderen) in het 28e huis. (O.R.A. Stad Vollenhove)

Notes about Grietje "Greetjen" Gerrits

Elders wordt doop 16-06-1683 Geesjen genoemd van Gerrit Jans en sijn huisfou Aeltjen Harms te Beulecke. Dus mogelijk niet correct. Maar bij de doop van de kinderen van Grietje en Jochem wordt consequent de moeder Grietje genoemd.
De enige Grietje die omstreeks 1680 in Beulake wordt gedoopt is deze., ged. 29 okt 1676 te Beulake, dochter van Gerrit Willems en Vrouke Arents.
