VAN SLEDRIGHT, RICHARD HENRY Richard Henry VanSledright, age 85, of Kentwood, became absent from the body and present with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Louise; his children, Carol (Gary) Helander, Mariellen Scott, RuthAnn (Kurt) Dawdy, Lynne VanSledright; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Adrian (Flo) VanSledright, Raymond (Lorraine) VanSledright, Martha VanSledright, Henry VanSledright; sisters-in-law, Lucille Laven, Ardith VanSledright, Lorna (Bill) Snodgrass; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, February 10, at Stroo Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Liverance officiating. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will greet visitors on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm at: STROO FUNERAL HOME 1095 68TH ST. SE www.stroofuneralhome.com
