Op 2 juli 1776 maakten Arie en zijn vrouw Cornelia een testament, waarbij zij wederzijds de langst levende tot erfgenaam benoemden. Beide tekenden zij de akte met een kruisje. Cornelia Jasperse Kool werd begraven in de kerk van Zijderveld op 14 november 1776. Enkele dagen later op 19 november 1776 werden Meerten Boogje en Gerrit Willemse de Vos door Arie de Raad aangesteld tot voogden over zijn minderjarige kinderen bij Cornelia. Op 28 oktober 1777 erfde Arie de Raad 101 gld. 16 st. en 2 penningen uit de nalatenschap van Jan Meertense de Jongh en Cecilia Meertense Cool. Op 21 april 1778 verklaarde Arie de Raad 400 gld. schuldig te zijn aan Govert de Heer, als voogd over de minderjarige kinderen van Arie de Raad. De lening diende te worden terug betaald met een jaarlijkse losrente van 4%. Als zekerheid stelde Arie de Raad een hofstede, groot 8 morgen met zijn betimmering en bepoting daarop staande, gelegen op Bolgerijen in de Zijderveldse Steeg. Op 17 maart 1778 leende Govert Ariensz. de Heer als voogd van Jasper en Aaltje de Raad 500 gld. aan Alewijn de Vos. Op 5 december 1780 werden Govert de Wit, bode tot Heicop, Jan Bronkhorst en Gerrit Willemse de Vos door Arie de Raad aangesteld tot voogden over zijn minderjarige kinderen. Op 12 september 1797 verkocht Arie de Raad, samen met Anthonij Kool, voor 450 gld., 8 hond griend op Prijs (onder Culemborg). In de hooiberg van Arie, op het eind van de Zijderveldse Steeg, werd op vrijdag 15 februari 1799 een kind geboren, genaamd Cornelia. De niet gehuwde ouders van het kind waren Gerrit de Roij, een arme bedelaar uit Ek en Wiel oud na gissing 27 jaar en de 24-jarige Jannigje van der Pijl uit Nieuwpoort. Beide waren zij van de gereformeerde godsdienst. Heijltje Jasperse de Raad, weduwe van Meerten Joosten de Jong en de jongste zuster van Arie, woonde bij hem in. Zij overleed aldaar kinderloos op 25 mei 1797. Arie de Raad is overleden te Zijderveld op 28 september 1809 en werd begraven in de kerk van Zijderveld op 6 oktober 1809. Hij was op dat moment eigenaar van 20 morgen bouw-, hooi-, weiland en griend op Bolgerijen, Boeicop, Nederboeicop, Overzijderveld en Nederzijderveld langs de Kerksteeg.
