Holland - A letter was received by Mr. and Mrs. John Everts from their son, Pfc. George Everts, who was wounded on Apr. 10 in Germany, that his wounds are not serious and that he is making a satisfactory recovery in a hospital in France. George stepped on a German mine while doing guard duty and suffered injuries to his leg, arm and one side of his head. He is with the Third army and was inducted in February, 1944.

Cpl. George Everts, son of Mr., and Mrs. John Everts, has arrived in the States. George has been in the services for the last three years and saw action in Italy and Germany. Since V-E day e has been with the army of occupation and was stationed near Berlin. He received shrapnel wounds in the shoulder and left side of his face and was hospitalized for some time in Italy.
