Notes about Jacob Jacobsz. Rotteveel

Huijbertje van Duijn is denkelijk geboren in 1733, misschien een dochter van Johannes van Duyn en Cornelia Haesbroeck. Toen zij 21 jaar was, trouwde zij meet een oude weduwnaar van 64 jaar, Jacobus Rotteveel. Beiden woonden in Eykenduinen in Haag Ambagt en zijn daar blijven wonen.
De eerste vrouw van die Jacobus Rotteveel, Maria van Duyn (op19-4-1726 getrouwd) was denkelijk een zuster van Huybertje. Het huwelijk van Jacobus Rotteveel en Huybertje van Duyn werd kerkelijk voltrokken in de R.K. kerk aan de Oude Molstraat in den Haag, op 19 Januari 1754. En daags daarna, 20-1-1754 ten stadhuize in den Haag. Getuigen bij hun huwelijk waren: Ignatius van den Blank en Maria Excelo (deze laatste trad bij allerlei huwelijken en geboorten op).

Zij kregen 3 kinderen: Cornelia, Johannes, Jacobus, alle 3 gedoopt in de R.K. kerk in de Oude Molstraat in den Haag, respectievelijk op 17-5-1754, 23-8-1755, 4-11-1758 . Van deze Jacobus Rotteveel bestaan minstens 2 of 3 testamenten. In die tijd schenen de mensen nogal dikwijls hun testament te maken of te veranderen. Daaruit blijkt, dat Jacobus Rotteveel nogal aardig geld had. Die testamenten zijn opgemaakt door Notaris Sardijn te 's-Gravenhage en worden bewaard op het gemeente-archief aldaar. Koopt 06-04-1758 Herberg Witsenburg te Rijswijk voor de som van 4.350,00 guldens.
