In 1804 kocht Garrit (1768) van Jan Hendrik Broekman het perceel "Huusker" dat moet hebben gelegen naast het huidige perceel Meddoseweg 2a ofwel naast de boerderij Beneman, dat heeft gelegen tussen "Greteman" en "De Wolter".Voor 1742 stond het ook wel bekend als Klein-Dieperink (Garrit heeft eerst met zijn gezin gewoond op Klein-Abbink (Abbink-Beneman).
Op 30 december 1841 wordt Garrit samen met zijn echtgenote genoemd als schuldenaar in een notariële akte van de Lichtenvoordense notaris J.F.A. Weijn. Schuldeiser is Jan Derk Reulink (Doetinchem, Notariële archieven
Notarissen in de gemeente Oost Gelre, 1811-1935, Lichtenvoorde, archief 3014, inventaris­nummer 139, 30-12-1841).
In de akte van de schuldbekentenis met Reulink wordt vermeld dat Garrit ook wel Garrit Jan wordt genoemd.

Volgens Gemeentebestuur Lichtenvoorde, 1811-1929, archief 114, inventaris­num­mer 1269b, 1840, Bevolkingsregister Lichtenvoorde register 46. Volkstelling, 1840 woont zijn gezin in huis 52 Vragender met 1 gezin en 5 personen. Garrit, Harmina, Jan Harmen, Johanna en Geertruid.
