Notes about Hendrik "Hendrik" te Koppele
Hij is nooit gehuwd geweest. Hij was de enige zoon en jongste kind van Manus en Drieke had een zwakke gezondheid. Hij had zwakke longen en snel last van benauwdheid. Na zijn veertigste kon Hendrik het werk niet meer zo goed meer alleen aan. Zijn neven Frans en Bernhard Wessels kwamen hem vaak helpen en bleven er ook slapen. Op 1 september 1933 kwam Hendrik inwonen bij zijn zuster Aleida. Zijn gezondheidstoestand was dusdanig dat hij niet meer zelfstandig kon wonen. De boerderij werd toen voornamelijk bewerkt door de jongens van Wessels. In februari 1940 ging zijn toestand snel achteruit, zodat besloten werd een dokter te roepen. Een dokter erbij halen was iets bijzonders in die dagen. Hendrik was zijn leven lang niet bij de dokter geweest. Ook deze keer ontsnapte hij aan de arts. Toen de dokter het huis binnenkwam, blies Hendrik net de laatste adem uit. Hiermee verdween de familienaam Te Koppele uit Vragender. (Bron: Jos Wessels uit Bredevoort)
