706740342  Floris I van Holland, geb. na 1019, ovl. 28-06-1061 Nederhemert, begr. Egmond in de abdijkerk. Volgt zijn broer Dirk IV op als graaf in het West-Friese gebied (1049), tracht zijn macht uit te breiden in de Bommelerwaard doch wordt bij Nederhemert door handlangers van bisschop Willem van Cuijk vermoord (1061). Uit recent onderzoek van zijn skelet blijkt dat Floris I ca. 2,04m. lang en breed geschouderd was en door zwaardslagen om het leven is gekomen. Geh. ca.1050 met:

706740343 = 507692843  Gertrudis van Saksen Billung, geb. ca.1033 Saksen, ovl. 04-08-1113 Veurne, begr. aldaar in de St.Walburgskerk. Regentes voor haar minderjarige zoon Floris II (1061-71), week met haar 2e man uit naar Gent toen hertog Godfried III “met de Bult” van Lotharingen tegen Holland ten strijde trok (1069). 2e huw. 1063 met graaf Robrecht I “de Fries” van Vlaanderen.
