Hij woonde op Rinia-state te Blessum en trad in 1469 op als arbiter bij geschillen. Ook vermeld als Doecke Tjessinga.

OFO I-200 d.d.17-3-1469:Doecke genoemd te Blessum.

Uit kwartieren van Doecke Tjebbes van Martena (overleden 1605) zou blijken dat dochter Bauck voortkwam uit een eerder huwelijk met een vrouw uit het geslacht Van Glins.

Hij ligt begraven in de toren van de kerk van Blessum.

Informatie over Riniastate: RINIA, voorm. state, prov. Friesland, kw. Oostergoo, griet. Leeuwarderadeel, arr., kant. en 1 1/2 u. N. van Leeuwarden, 1/4 u. N. van Stiens. Ter plaatse, waar zij gestaan heeft, ziet men thans een arbeidershuis.
