Over het huwelijk van Jan Aertsz. Middach en Neeltje Gerritsdr. is in de rechterlijke archieven van Gorinchem en omgeving niets gevonden. Het kan zijn dat hij identiek is met een Jan Aertsz. (zonder achternaam), die vanaf 1624 in het doopboek van Leerdam wordt gevonden. Deze Jan Aertsz. was getrouwd met Neeltje Gerrits en liet in Leerdam de volgende kinderen dopen: feb. 1624 Cathalina, maart 1627 Aert, okt. 1630 Cornelis en juli 1632 Anna. Het is echter geenszins bewezen, dat het hier om dezelfde persoon gaat.
