Davelaar ligt in Woudenberg. Het zijn oorspronkelijk twee boerderijen; Groot Davelaar (nu: Peelens Hoeve) en Klein Davelaar (nu Hoeve De Beek). Op hun grondgebied ontstaan in de loop der eeuwen nog meer boerderijen door bedrijfssplitsingen. De families die de achternaam (Van) Davelaar gaan dragen komen bijna allemaal aantoonbaar van één van deze boerderijen.

In 1724 wordt Maria Jans van Davelaar beleend na dode van haar vader Jan Evertsz van Davelaar met de Haverkamp van ´t Voort (HUA; Leenhof 115, fol. 39; 1724).

In 1747 wordt Gerrit Gerritsz van Overeem beleend door opdracht van Maria Jans van Davelaar x Hendrik Woudenberg met de Haverkamp van ´t Voort (HUA; Leenhof 118, fol. 34; 1747).
