In 1719 is er in Bergen op Zoom een Cornelis Bitterhoeck getuige bij de doop van Johanna Timmerman, waarschijnlijk zijn nichtje. Twee jaar eerder, in 1717, is er ook een Cornelis Bitterhoeck getuige bij de doop van ene Maria Elsten. En weer een aantal jaren eerder, in 1712, is hij ook te Bergen op Zoom getuige van de doop van Johannes Maes. Nu wordt zijn achternaam geschreven als BITTEROEX. Overigens is er nog een andere Cornelis Bitterhoeck overleden in Wouw, en wel op 13 februari 1739 op de Warberg.
