Dochter Barbara trouwde met Peter Niclaes Spapen en belandde daarmee in Tilburg. Haar schoonvader Niclaes is mogelijk de zoon van de parochiepaap (de pastoor) of stamt daar in elk geval van af.
Dat was toen, vóór het concilie van Trente, vrij gewoon. Barbara schonk haar man 7 kinderen en neemt zo op waardige wijze haar plaats in, in de kwartierstaat, als stammoeder van het latere Tilburg.
