Cornelis (Cees (Cor)) Embrechts is geboren op vrijdag 03-10-1902 in Ginneken en Bavel, zoon van Adrianus (Adrianus) Embrechts en Adriana (Naan) Pelkmans. Cees (Cor) is overleden op vrijdag 24-01-1975 in Brunssum, 72 jaar oud (oorzaak: Hartfalen Dr. Crobach). Hij is begraven op dinsdag 28-01-1975 in Brunssum-Rumpen.
Notitie bij Cees (Cor): Cornelis, Cees of Nel, (mijn vader), kwam omstreeks 1920 uit Düsseldorf naar Limburg om 37 jaar ondergronds in de staatsmijn Hendrik als houwer te gaan werken. Aanvankelijk woonde hij in de Heulenderstr. 62 met zijn ouders.
Toen zijn ouders vertrokken woonde hij op kamers boven de herberg Grimmen aan het Lindeplein.
Voor zijn tijd in Düsseldorf heeft hij een tijdje (bij familie ?) in Brabant op een boerderij gewoond (en gewerkt ?). Wel heeft hij vaker verteld, dat hij niet begreep waarom zijn ouders hem naar Duitsland lieten komen, waar het destijds veel slechter was dan op het boerenland in Brabant.
Waarschijnlijk heeft hij in Brunssum werk gevonden op de staatsmijn Hendrik en toen zijn ouders overgehaald ook hierheen te komen.
Hij heeft 37 jaar ondergronds op de Hendrik gewerkt. Daarna heeft hij tot zijn dood in 1975 van zijn pensioen genoten.

Trees is overleden op vrijdag 28-08-1992 in Brunssum, 87 jaar oud (oorzaak: Hartstilstand in haar slaap.). Zij is begraven op woensdag 02-09-1992 in Brunssum-Rumpen.
Notitie bij Trees: Trees was het vijfde kind van Andries Eggen en Maria Catharina Antoinetta Herinx.
Uit haar huwelijk met de mijnwerker Cornelis Embrechts werden 7 kinderen geboren.
Toen zij uit een erfenis het pand Lindeplein 11 verkreeg, startte zij op 50-jarige leeftijd in dat pand een groente en fruithandel, die haar lust en haar leven werd.
In datzelfde pand vestigde ik, haar zoon May, in 1965 een friture-automatiek.
