Gerlacus RIBBIUS PELETIER was een Utrechtse, ontwikkelde, welgestelde onconventionele sigarenfabrikant. Huwelijk: Gerlacus RIBBIUS PELETIER, 29 jaar, Utrecht, zoon van Gerlacus RIBBIUS PELETIER en Anna Elisabeth VOORTHUIS, gehuwd met Adriana Louise WIJBELINGH, 23 jaar, Achtkarspelen, dochter van Henricus WIJBELINGH en Davina Adriana Jelliana Anna SNOECK (Gemeente Arnhem, huwelijksacte 131, 27 mei 1886). Uit: http://www.kasteleninutrecht.nl/LinschotenNieuw.htm Kasteel Nieuw-Linschoten, bij het dorp Linschoten. Het kasteel werd in 1647 gebouwd, met torentjes. In 1645 vinden we een Johan Strick, die landerijen ten zuiden van Linschoten bezit. Hij laat hier in 1647 het nieuwe huis Linschoten bouwen. Het gebouw had een grondplan van 20 x 9 m. Omstreeks 1720 is het huis aan de achterkant uitgebreid en nog weer later werden de vierkante torens verhoogd en voorzien van een spits. Het huis is altijd in dezelfde familie gebleven tot het geslacht in mannelijke lijn uitstierf in 1850. In 1850 erfde Elisabeth barones von Arnim op 16-jarige leeftijd het huis van haar oom Emile van Strick van Linschoten. In 1855 trouwde zij met Friedrich Wilhelm graaf von dem Bussche Ippenburg.In 1891 verkoopt zij het huis aan Gerlacus Ribbius PELETIER. Deze familie is nog steeds eigenaar van het huis. Het kasteel is nu wel ondergebracht in een Stichting. Het gezin bestond uit vijf kinderen: één jongen en vier meisjes.
