Hij is geboren in het jaar 1499 in Koudum, Hemelumer Oldeferd, Friesland.

Toen deze tweede Aesge Aesges in 1549 kinderloos stierf, ging het goed over in handen van zijn zuster Foeck van Hoxwier, die op 28 februari 1523 getrouwd was met Gaele van Galama uit Koudum. Gaele hield een dagboek bij in het Fries. Hij overleed in 1559, vijf jaar na zijn vrouw.
Hij is overleden op 31 mei 1559 in Mantgum, Baarderadeel, Friesland, hij was toen 60 jaar oud.
