Notes about Cornelis Disco

Cornelis koos voor een priesteropleiding, maar was politieagent in Bergen op Zoom toen hij trouwde met Adriana de Koning. Zij was daarvoor enige tijd novice in een klooster.

Cornelis verhuisde op 4 april 1865 en werd kleermakersknecht in Middelburg. Na 2 jaar keerde het gezin terug naar Bergen op Zoom. Op 18 april 1868 vertrokken zij naar Gorinchem, waar Cornelis kleermaker werd. Na 10 jaar verhuisden zij naar Woerden, Cornelis werkte daar ook als kleermaker. In 1892 logeerde zijn zus Maria Clasina bij hem op Grooten Binnenwal 372.

Veel van de kinderen van Adriana en Cornelis overleden jong, Zoon Frederikus stierf op 22-jarige leeftijd door een noodlottige gebeurtenis.

Na het overlijden van Adriana in 1900 verhuisde Cornelis op 10 mei 1901naar Utrecht waar hij introk bij zijn oudste dochter Helena. Dochter Alida was tot die tijd bij haar ouders blijven wonen. Toen Cornelis naarUtrecht verhuisde, ging zij eerst naar Hilversum, maar later trok zij ook in bij haar oudste zus.
