    In mei 1928 heeft D.M. Dijkstra gesolliciteerd bij de Dorschvereniging "Roodeschool en Omstreken" als machinist. Enkele citaten:
    'naar aanleiding van uw advertentie in het NV van het Noorden, neem ik ook de vrijheid mij ook zoodanig aan te bieden, ik ben nu 22 jaar alzoodanig werkzaam een 17 jaar als stoker en laater als machinist. Zelfstandig de machines kunnen monteren en veel reparaties zelf kunnen verrichten, bekend met Stoom, Electries en Tractor - oud 40 jaar gehuwd en beslist drankvrij. De reden van mijn aanbieding zijn, daar ik nu voor mezelf 4 jaar een machine heb gerepoliteerd (red. = geëxploiteerd) maar wegen omstandigheden moet weg doen en zoodoende een betreking moet zoeken, voor die tijd heb ik te Noordhorn - Ulrum - Westpolder - Holwerd - als machinist geweest. Hierbij ingeslooten getuigschriften - en van mijn eigen werkzaamheden zullen de landbouwers u wel gaarne goede inlichtingen - omtrent mijn persoon en mijn werk willen geven - bijv bij PK Westerhuis te Balmahuizen(*) en E. Diekhuis te Oldehove.

    Bij navraag (1 november 2011) is door de archiefmedewerkster van de gemeente Zuidhorn geconstateerd dat het graf van Harmanna niet voorkomt in enig archiefmateriaal. Er bestaan alleen overeenkomsten van grafaankopen en dat is in het geval van Harmanna niet gebeurd w.s. wegens geldgebrek. Ze is naar alle waarschijnlijkheid begraven op het grafveld links achter op het kerkhof van Oldehove. (volgens de archiefmedewerkster)
