Bericht van Lydia Palland (zie ordner met correspondentie) over de veronderstelde twee(?) jongste dochters van dit echtpaar: "Ik heb in het verleden vele uren gezocht naar een kind dat Catharina Berlina Palant heette. Echter niet kunnen vinden en kan niet anders dan de conclusie trekken dat het hetzelfde kind is als Agatha Catharina. Mogelijk heeft opa die de geboorte-aangifte van Agatha Catharina heeft gedaan, zelf voor die naam gekozen in plaats van de naam Catharina Berlina. Dit is een aanname van ondergetekende (gebaseerd op een ervaring met een ex-collega die ter plaatse bij de burgerlijke stand de baby een andere naam gaf dan afgesproken). Ik kan geen enkele akte van een ander kind terugvinden van Maria Agnes tussen 1821 en 1823 en heb alle aktes één voor één doorgelezen. Berlina is echter wel een heel vreemde naam in het zuiden tot die periode voor zover ik kan nagaan. Ook voor de Palant’s is het geen naam die ergens een belletje doet rinkelen.
Ook wordt in de akte vermeld dat ze 17 maanden was bij overlijden, dit is echter 15 maanden. Misschien is er gezegd dat het kind begin 1822 was geboren (wederom een aanname) en dan klopt het getal van 17 maanden. Maar dat is iets waar ik me niet (meer) zo heel erg op vastpin, dergelijke rekenfouten zijn er legio in aktes. Ik kom ook de meest vreemde verbasteringen van namen tegen in aktes (zowel voor- als achternamen) maar doorgaans niet zo kort in tijd op de voorgaande akte."

Maria Agnes is in Schinveld in 1825 hertrouwd met Hendrik Verhooren (in Oudewater geboren; koopman in Oudewater, landbouwer in Schinveld). Hun oudste twee kinderen zijn vermoedelijk geboren in het Noordhollandse Uithoorn en waarschijnlijk als tweeling, waarvan Johanna Maria een jaar later in Brunssum is overleden. Hun drie jongste kinderen echter zijn in Oudewater geboren, waarschijnlijk in het huis Wijdstraat 26a. In de Oudewaterse geboorteakten van deze kinderen staat dat hun ouders koopman en koopvrouw zijn.
Maria Agnes en haar twee opeenvolgende echtgenoten zijn misschien een soort rondtrekkende kooplui geweest, heen en weer trekkend tussen Zuid-Limburg en "Holland", voordat Maria Agnes zich met Hendrik definitief in Schinveld vestigde. Maria Agnes is de stammoeder van zowel de Schinveldse Verhoorens als van de Schinveldse Palants.
De huwakte Verhooren-Scheuvens is ondertekend door de bruidegom. De bruid en de ouders van de bruid verklaarden niet te kunnen schrijven.
