Woonde met zijn vrouw aan de Roestelberg. Jan Ghijsbert Corsten broer Aert bleef vrijgezel. Jan trouwde op 3 december 1637, dus kort na het overlijden van zijn vader met het buurmeisje Jenneke Peter Willems de Kemmer. Jenneke was de zus van de man van wie Gijsbert zijn boerderijtje kocht. < ORA Loon op Zand, no. 68 (03-12-1637) >

De twee broers Jan en Aert delen op 20-07-1658 de goederen van hun ouders. Adriaentken is dan gestorven. Jan krijgt het groot woonhuis. Dat komt ook goed uit, want hij heeft dan inmiddels zeven meisje. Voor Aert is er een klein woonhuis. De broers zitten dan nog keurig naast elkaar aan de zuidzijde van de Roestelberg en de erfgenamen van Peter Willems de Kemmer zijn nog steeds hun buren. < ORA LopZ, no. 77 (20-07-1658) >
