Geallieerde jachtvlieger mist doel op mitrailleurstelling DRU gebouw.Een tragisch gebeuren beleefde Ulft 1 dag voor de bevrijding, mw. Aalders-Gregoor en vijf van haar kinderen vonden de dood tijdens een beschieting met een Shrapnelgranaat die bestemd was voor een Duits luchtdoelafweer die geplaatst was boven op het dak van de DRU modelzolders . Hun huis stond tegenover de DRU fabriek waar nu Freriks woninginrichting is aan de Frank Daamenstraat, vroeger Keyenborg. Meer hierover en ander historisch uniek beeldmateriaal o.a.van de bevrijding op 21 maart tijdens Denkend aan de DRU.
