ook Hinderika, Hinderkien wordt genoemd in het boek Het belang en de welvaart van alle ingezetenen van W.Baron(2006 Van Gorcum).
Ingeschreven als vroedvrouw tussen 1800 en 1809.
In Nederland werd de beroepsuitoefening van vroedvrouwen al vroeg vanaf eind van de 17e eeuw gereguleerd, wat inhield dat alleen vroedvrouwen die geadmitteerd en bekwaam bevonden waren, mochten praktiseren. Vroedvrouwen mochten alleen natuurlijke bevallingen begeleiden en moesten bij complicaties de hulp van een vroedmeester of medicinae doctor inroepen. Een aspirant vroedvrouw moest minstens 25 jaar zijn en kunnen lezen en schrijven en verder van onbesproken gedrag zijn.
