Teddy was typograaf (boekdrukker en letterzetter) bij de krant "De West" in Paramaribo. Teddy en Agnes vestigden zich in mei 1959 in Amsterdam. Daar werkte Teddy bij drukkerij Ellerman Harms in de Warmoesstraat. In augustus 1966 emigreerden zij naar Noord-Amerika. Eerst woonden zij in Port St. Lucie (Florida, USA) en daarna in Canada,Toronto. Zijn laatste woonplaats is Scarborough, sinds 1998 deel van Toronto (Ontario). Hij overleed in een hospice.
