Zij werd geboren te Steenwijkerwold in 1882 op de feestdag van onze H. Moeder Maria Onbevlekte Ontvangenis. Zij overleed na het ontvangen van de H.H. Sacramenten der Stervenden in het R.K. Ziekenhuis te Enschede op 17 Maart 1956 en werd begraven op het R.K. Kerkhof, aldaar, op 21 Maart d.a.v. Onze Vader, die in de hemel zijt, Gij hebt in Uw goddelijke Voorzienigheid besloten om onze echtgenote en moeder tot U te roepen. Vol overgave buigen wij ons hoofd en zeggen U Wil geschiede op aarde zoals in de hemel. Wij bidden U Geef haar de eeuwige rust, omdat zij hier op aarde Uw naam geheiligd heeft. Gedenk hoe diepgelovig zij was, hoe ernstig bezorgd voor het welzijn van ons allen. Gedenk haar langdurig lijden en vergeef haar daarom alle schuld en laat haar delen in de hemelse vreugde. Beste man en kinderen, wilt dit gebed dikwijls voor mij bidden, ik zal u niet vergeten, mede uit dank voor uw liefde en toewijding, die ik steeds en bijzonder op mijn ziekbed van u mocht ondervinden.
