Gerrit en Hille woonden op het erve Nibbelink.
Over dit erve staat in het verpondingsregister van Twente:
Nr. 1500. Nibbeldinck, toebehoerich Cristoffer Scheelen, is groett van neegen mudde geseis, daer die tende van gaet groff und small, toebehoerende den erffgenaemen van zaelige Cristoffer van Averhaegen, unde gifft jaerlichs ter pacht vier mudde roggen unde vier mudde boeckweyten, daerop een bouwman woent, die gants veraermet is. 4 -15 – 0.
1602. Nibbelinck, 9 mudden geseyes, 1½ dachmall hoylandt.
1980. Verdwenen, nu op deze plaats boerderij “Peper”.

Christoffer Schele was heer van Weleveld gelegen tussen Zenderen en Hertme. Het Weleveld, was een rijk landgoed met tal van tolrechten over de belangrijke handelsweg tussen Deventer en Osnabrück en de Bornse beek. Bij het Weleveld behoorde bovendien een reeks boerderijen, waaronder dus het erve Nibbelink. De boerderij “Peper” is eigendom van Twickel en wordt bewoond door de familie Lamers. De naam staat in de gevelsteen boven de deur.
