Jan II de Goede of in het Frans Jean II le Bon (geboren in Château de Gué-de-Maulin, 16 april 1319 - gestorven te Londen, 8 april 1364) was van 1350 tot 1364 koning van Frankrijk, van 1361 tot 1364 hertog van Bourgondië en van 1350 tot 1360 graaf van Auvergne. Hij was als koning opvolger van Filips VI, als hertog van Filips en als graaf van Auvergne van Johanna I. Hij werd in die volgorde opgevolgd door Karel V, Filips de Stoute en Filips van Rouvres. Hij kwam uit het huis Valois. Jans' regering was een van de rampzaligste uit de Franse geschiedenis. De Engelsen en plunderbendes teisterden Frankrijk, de economie lag op z'n gat een temidden van dat alles zat het rampenplan dat Jan was.

Jan II van Frankrijk had in zijn regeerperiode niet alleen te kampen met de gevolgen van de Zwarte Dood (de pest), maar leed ook grote nederlagen in de eerste fase van de langslepende Honderdjarige Oorlog (1337-1453) tegen Engeland.De onfortuinlijke koning Jan II ‘de goede’ van Frankrijk werd geboren op 16 april 1319.
