Notes about Anna Robertina Vrerix

Dochter van Jan-Renier, Anna-Robertina Vrerix, gedoopt in Hasselt op 27 januari 1668, trouwde op 12 november 1689 met Balthazar-Jorden Vuskens, de op 18 november 1663 gedoopte zoon van Herman Vuskens. Balthazar-Jorden behaalde een licentie in de rechten en werd advocaat in zijn geboortestad Hasselt. Hij werd burgemeester in 1695, 1702, 1706 en 1710. In 1711 liet hij zijn familiewapen registreren door de Hasseltse schepenen, die het op verschillende plaatsen gingen optekenen. De dubbelportretten van dit echtpaar bleven bewaard. De echtgenoten lieten ook hun alliantiewapen graveren op een zilveren mosterdpot uit de nalatenschap Vrerix. Ook een zilveren pollepel met hun alliantiewapen is gekend. Balthazar-Jorden werd in de Sint-Quintinuskerk begraven op 24 februari 1724 en zijn weduwe op 16 januari 1725.

Het gezin Vuskens-Vrerix werd gezegend met twaalf kinderen, die uit hoofde van hun overgrootmoeder Vrerix aanspraak maakten op de erfenis van Jan-Renier de Geloes. Een dochter, Catharina, trad in bij de sepulcrijnen in Hasselt en drie andere dochters, Elisabeth-Barbara, Robertina-Theresia en Aldegondis-Clara, werden begijn. Deze laatste werd medemeesteres van haar instelling. Hun zonen Jan-Renier, overleden in 1744, en Godfried-Renier, overleden in 1761, waren pastoor in Donk, waar een gearmorieerde grafsteen ter hunner nagedachtenis geplaatst werd. Een andere zoon, Herman-Mathias, behaalde een licentie in de rechten. Hij trouwde in 1731 met Maria Jozefa Sigers maar overleed kinderloos. Slechts hun dochter Barbara-Gertrudis Vuskens had nakomelingen uit haar op 7 maart 1735 ingezegend huwelijk met Gerard-Arnold Vannes, schepen van Hasselt, griffier van Kuringen. Aldus kwam de heerlijkheid Mombeek uit de nalatenschap de Geloes in het bezit van de familie Vannes.
