W.E.C. (Willy) Asbeek Brusse was inspector of finance for the Colonial Government in Padang, Netherlands East Indies. Willy Asbeek Brusse started his military career in 1930. At the time of his death he had the rang of Sargent first class KNIL (Royal Dutch Colonial Army). He died in 1944, while being transported as a prisoner of war aboard the "Junyo Maru", a Japanese transport ship, which was torpedoed near the the island of Java in the Java Sea by a British U-boat.
His wife Emmy Asbeek Brusse-Ebbeler returned to the Netherlands in 1946.
There were no children from this marriage.
