      69. Op I februari 1930 was het vijftig jaar geleden dat te Wassenaar Joachim Theodorus Oosterveer en Wilhelmina Snelderwaard in het huwelijk traden. Op onze foto het gouden paar voor hun versierde woning op het voormalig landgoed "Groenend&al" te Wassenaar. Joachim Oosterveer, of Jochem zoals ieder hem kende, was als jachtopziener in dienst van de laatste baron Van Brienen van de Grote Lindt, die het bekende historische landgoed "St. Annalands Clingendaal" bewoonde. Ruim vijftigjaarwas hij als zodanig in dienst van de familie Van Brienen. Hij en zijn hond waren de schrik van de stropers die het jachtgebied der Van Brienens onveilig maakten. Dag en nacht was hij soms op pad en hij kende zijn klanten bij namen. Had hij eenmaal vat op hen, dan was er geen ontko men aan. Niet te min droeg geen hunner hem een kwaad hart toe. Enkele dagen per week ging hij de duinen in om miereneieren te zoeken die een lekkernij zijn voor de fazanten. Op 6 december 1941 stierf deze zeer arbeidzame man in het bejaardenpension "St.-Willibrordus". Zijn vrouw was hem reeds voorgegaan.
