Van 1943 tot 1955 heb ik in de President Brandtstraat gewoond, hoek Reitzstraat.
Vanwege maagklachten van mijn vader en mijn onwil om de zaak over te nemen, hebben mijn ouders de zaak in 1955 verkocht. Koper werd Piet Helsloot en zijn vrouw Mien (Tugelaweg/Wibautstraat) die daaraan voorafgaand al lang vrienden van mijn ouders waren.
