Heeft voor haar huwelijk gewerkt als "dienstmeid" bij verschillende huishoudens in Bergen op Zoom (Frans Hagenaars, schilder, woonde tegenover het Qurinusputje, hier had moeder het erg naar haar zin, leerde ze verf samenstellen enz.) (dokter Van der Kamp/de la Tour, chirurg in ziekenhuizen Bergen op Zoom en Roosendaal), Lepelstraat(meester Huybrechts) en Steenbergen (notaris Verhulst).
Werd verliefd op vader toen hij aan het werk was in de Blauwstraat tegenover notaris Verhulst (later Stoetzer), waar moeder toen werkte.

Is in 2006 verhuisd naar Verzorgingstehuis Onze Stede in Steenbergen. Op muzikaal gebied kon ze de vioolmuziek van Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962) erg waarderen.

Werd op donderdag 23 juli 2009 opgenomen in Lievensberg in Bergen op Zoom met hartritmestoornissen, dementeerde sindsdien erg; op 10-02-2010 gevallen op haar kamer in Onze Stede, kreeg daarna morfinepillen tegen de pijn, rustig ingeslapen in de loop van de middag van 12 februari 2010.
De uitvaartmis (17 februari in de Gummaruskerk) werd voorgegaan door pastoor Eduard Nieuwlaat, de gehele uitvaart werd verzorgd door Uitvaartverzorging Gerard Leeuw in de persoon van Ineke Leautaud.
Oom Jan Ernest, die op de crematie aanwezig was met zijn zoons Gerard en Frank, was die dag 60 jaar getrouwd.

Bijlage Fans Hagenaars: schilder, bevriend met A.M. de Jong en George van Raemdonck. De dochter van Georg van Raemdonck herinnert zich, dat Frans de kaders maakte voor het stripverhaal Bulletje & Bonestaak. "Hij gebruikte een liniaal om de vier lijntjes te trekken. Frans was heel precies en verschoof telkens het liniaal, omdat hij dacht, dat het lijntje niet haaks op het andere zou komen. Mijn vader had sneller de tekening gemaakt, dan dat Frans de vier lijntjes had getrokken"
Soms las hij (A.M. de Jong) iets voor, zoals wat hij over Franske Hagenaars schreef, wat veel hilariteit verwekte. "Mels de Jong, de zoon van A.M. herinnert zich nog: De kleine Franske Hagenaars wie de koster uit Het Verraad zo moeilijk het Kerklatijn aan zijn lomp verstand kon brengen, was een vriend van George en derhalve ook van mijn vader. Natuurlijk slaat het fragment niet op een of ander voorval: het gebruik van Frans'naam diende alleen maar om hem vriendschappelijk te pesten, hetgeen aardig lukte".

Ten overstaan van notaris Smits had Donderdag voor de gemeente Steenbergen ten koffiehuize van P.Uitdewilligen de veiling plaats van de onderwijzerswoning met schoolgebouw en tuin te Kladde. 110,5 roede .
De panden werden ingezet als volgt.
Koop I, gebouwen voor afbraak voor de som van f.1700,- Door J.A.Hoppenbrouwers, timmerman, Steenbergen.
Koop II, grond voor de som van f.250,- door M.v.d. Weijgaart te Kladde.
Koop III, grond voor de som van f.330,- door Adr.de Greef, Steenbergen.
De massa der koopen werd ingezet voor f.2300,- door A. de Greef, Steenbergen.
