Rond het jaar 1150 had het klooster van Werden ook bezittingen in Crumbenhard (= Krommert); Dit is de oudste traditie. Krommert ligt met zijn 700 inwoners in het zuidelijke deel van Rhede en is ook sterk agrarisch.

De voornamen en datum in acht nemende zijn dit waarschijnlijk dezelfde personen als vermeld in de doopakte van zoon Bernardus.
Op de kaart van [maps.arcanum.com] staat ten zuid-oosten van Rhede een buurtschap met de naam "Schmeink"; mogelijk kan dat een relatie zijn met de oorsprong van de familienaam.

De twee hier vermelde kinderen Margarietha en Meis zijn hier gemakshalve vermeld, een zekere relatie met de ouders is echter niet gevonden. Ook gezien de trouwdatum van Melis c.a. zou het zeer wel mogelijk zijn dat Heno en Mechtildes niet de juiste ouders zijn.
