    Hoevelaken
    Door onbekende oorzaak is alhier brand ontstaan in een hooimijt staande op het erf van den landbouwer H. Mossing. Het door den fellen wind aangewakkerde vuur deelde zich nagenoeg onmiddelijk mede aan de schuur en boerenhofstede. Bij gebrek aan brandblusmiddelen ging alles wat genoemd is en ook eenig vee in de vlammen op. Een oud man, inwonend kostganger, die zich om nog iets te redden in het brandende gebouw begaf, is jammerlijk omgekomen. Huis en inboedel was verzekerd.
