    Mathilde van Engeland (Engels: Empress Maud, Westminster, 7 februari 1102 - Rouen, 10 september 1167) was de dochter van Hendrik I van Engeland en Mathilde van Schotland. In 1114 huwde zij in Mainz met keizer Hendrik V, maar zij werd al in 1125 weduwe en had geen kinderen. In 1128 hertrouwde zij met Godfried V van Anjou (1113-1151). Na de dood van van haar vader in 1135, nam toch haar neef Stefanus van Blois de Engelse troon in, alhoewel Mathilde de wettige erfgename was en bovendien was aangeduid als troonopvolgster. Dit leidde tot een burgeroorlog. Tijdens die oorlog zat Mathilde wel gedurende korte tijd op de Engelse troon (1141) maar hierna nam Stefanus hem weer in. Haar zoon Hendrik zou wel de volgende koning van Engeland worden.
