    Gherijt wordt ook Gerardus die Molner (molenaar) genoemd en wordt vermeld in 1419- 1428. Van Jan Bac Berhouts kocht hij heel wat landerijen met aanhorigheden in Tilburg-Loven, die vroeger toebehoord hadden aan Wouter Kerstinen, tegen een jaarlijkse betaling van 4 mud rogge (1200 liter) te leveren met Lichtmis. Deze transactie moet gedateerd worden vóór 1430. Ze is slechts gekend uit een latere Bossche schepenakte van 1430 waarin Willem Jans van Wijfliet de inning van deze 4 mud rogge overdroeg aan Aert Jan Betthen en Jacob Aerts vander Hoeven.

    Samen met Gherijt Hubrecht Betthen beloofde hij op 14 juli 1419 15 mud rogge (ongeveer 4500 liter) te leveren op Sint-Antdriesdag eerstkomend aan de proost van de abdij van Tongerloo.*1
    In 1428 verwierf Gherijt de helft van de hoeve Ter Rijt in Tilburg, die in 1440 door zijn kinderen overgedragen werd op zijn zoon Gherijt Gherijt Betthen.
