    Amalrik I van Montfort (Frans: Amaury, in † 1052-1053) was in het begin van de 11e Eeuw de eerst
    bekende Heer van Montfort-l'Amaury en daarmee de stamvader van de Huis van Montfort-l'Amaury .
    Zijn oorsprong is onduidelijk. Orderic Vitalis meldt dat hij de zoon was van "Willem van
    Henegouwen" wat echter niet wordt gestaafd door historische bronnen. Volgens een vermelding in de
    kroniek van Saint-Denis, was zijn moeder Vrouwe van Nogent. Tussen de jaren 1022 en 1031 treedt
    Amalrik als een getuige op bij de ondertekening van meerdere oorkondes door koning Robert II van
    Frankrijk. In 1052-1053, stichtte hij het klooster van Sint-Thomas in Épernon, daarna is er niets
    meer van hem vernomen
    Hij had minstens twee zonen, zijn opvolger, Simon I. en Maine.
