Anna Maria,later Besj genoemd, was nogal bemiddeld , hetgeen blijkt uit de Successie aangifte van haar vader Jan Hendrik en haar echtgenote Jan Michiel Baggen en van haarzelf . Haar bezittingen heeft ze voor haar overlijden allemaal verdeeld aan haar kinderen. Daar had zij blijkbaar spijt van want later zei ze tegen haar kleinzoon jan Hubert, * 1876 , "Jong, doog dich neet oet veur dat ze geis sjloape". vertaald: Jongen, kleed je niet uit voor dat je gaat slapen of, verdeel je bezittingen niet voordat je dood bent. In haar huis aan de Oude Straat 1 in Amstenrade had zij buiten het bezit aan land en twee boerderijen een winkel in koloniaalwaren en stoffen. Door de handel in koloniaalwaren waren er vaker klanten die hun maand of jaarrekening niet konden betalen. Deze schulden werden dan vaker door hun betaald door het overdragen van een stukje land. De familie Baggen had een bezit van 156 stukken land in die tijd. ( bron : kadaster 1843 en memorie van successie).
