Church marriage (1) at the age of 24 on 08-06-1721 in Obergum to Jantien Gerrits, 26 years old, christened on 10-02-1695 in Obergum, died 1728 in Wierhuizen, daughter of Gerrit Warners and Anje Luirts.
Church marriage (2) at the age of 33 on 17-03-1730 in Pieterburen to Leenje Ebels, 33 years old, christened on 08-11-1696 in Pieterburen en Wierhuizen, buried on 15-10-1761 in Pieterburen at the age of 64. In de lijst van "Begravenen en overledenen Pieterburen, Wierhuizen 1751-1804" wordt vermeld: " Is begraven de huisvrouw van Jacob Jans HELDER nalatende haar man Jacob Jans" Daughter of Ebel Jans and Jacobjen Wypkes. Op 3 Juni 1751 lieten zij een testament op langstlevende maken . Medebegunstigden waren Jan Jacobs en Gerrit Jacobs als voorzonen van Jacob Jans. Zij begunstigden ook de armen van Pieterburen door een gift. Het document werd ondertekend door G. Alberda ("Heer Zegelaar"), Klaas Havinga, Berent Jans en de beide voorzonen Jan Jacobs en Gerrit Jacobs.
