Cornelis en Meijnsje maken hun testament op de langstlevende (zonder opening van zaken en met uitsluiting van de weesmeesters en weeskamer) dd 30 juni 1734, des avonds 9 uren ten huize van Cornelis, omdat Cornelis ziek is. Niet lang daarna moet Cornelis overleden zijn, want Meijnsje Lomwel koopt in 1736 als weduwe van Cornelis de Pater in Willige Langerak aan de Kerksteeg een huis met twee boomgaardjes, waarvoor ze geld leent van Vrouwe Hillegonda Geertruyd van Bergen, douariere van wijlen de heer Leonard de Casembroot
