Theresienstadt Survivors Sent to Canton St. Gallen
Introduction by Peter Landé

This database is a list of 1,226 Theresienstadt survivors who were sent to Canton St. Gallen in Switzerland in February 1945.

Background
This collection includes Theresienstadt survivors sent to Canton St. Gallen in Switzerland in February 1945. While the collection contains no explanation, it is assumed that these persons were one of several groups of survivors sent to Switzerland near and after the end of the war for recovery and medical treatment. No information on the further fate/transfer of these survivors is given.

The information consists of name, nationality, date of birth and facility in St. Gallen where the individuals were housed. The four facilities were Les Avants, Adliswil, Tour Haldimant and Kant.Spital (Cantonal hospital).
