Saloon Keeper Obituary: March 19, 1945 FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES Injured in a mine accident at Danville, John Gall, former local resident, died in Danville and the body has been brought to Streator for burial, arriving here this morning. It was taken to the Solon funeral home where services will be conducted Wednesday morning followed by a requiem mass in St. Stephen's church. Interment will be made in the old St. Stephen's cemetery beside his wife, the former Mary Ann Marincak. Mr and Mrs Gall were married here November 23, 1902 and resided in Streator until 1920 when they moved to Danville. Mr Gall is survived by three children, John, Andrew and Anna, all of Danville, and a number of cousins who reside in Streator, His wife preceeded him in death August 14, 1934. March 22, 1945 FUNERAL RITES ARE CONDUCTED FOR JOHN GALL Funeral services for John Gall were held from St. Stephen's church at nine o'clock Wednesday morning. Msgr. L. Biskupski delivering the serman and Rev. John Kozel conducting the mass. Rev. Kozel officiated at the grave in the old St. Stephen cemetery. There was a brief prayer at the Solon funeral home preceding the removal of the body. Pallbearers were John Gall, George Gall, Andrew Gall, Frank Quaife, Frank Kakara and George Kakara. The flowers were in charge of Mrs. Bernie Jones. Attending the services from a distance were Chester Thomas, Stephen Anderson, George Kaschak, Mrs Anna Harry and Mrs Alex Anderson of Danville and Mrs Anna Ondera of Chicago.
