Notes about John Sherren

John had taken over the lease of the Broadmayne property his father had held. In a deed dated 31 January, 1818 between John Sherren of Cattistock, yeoman, and Eli Paul of Bincombe, yeoman. John leased for 14 years, a messuage or dwelling house, barn, stables, 15 1/2 acres of arable land and 10 acres of pasture or downland, situate in the parish of Broadmayne, at present in the occupation of Eli Paul as tenant. The amount due, to the owner of the land was 25 pounds per annum. I imagine, be because Robert was born out of wedlock that he did not take on this lease and why his aunt decided to leave him an annuity. {excerpt taken from Thea & Francis Clayton's book}
John did not marry or have children and did not leave a will.
