During this time, he fathered several [prob 3] children by Martha Bowling.ornett moved to Prineville, Oregon where he operated stage lines of 500 miles long, using 360 horses and over 100 vehicles. His stage lines ran from Shaniko, the rail head, to central Ore. towns. He was a pioneer in the use of motorized vehicles as 'stage coaches' in Oregon. He developed several toll roads in the area. *<>*an and learned this: He and his wife, Dorothy, and his mother, Stella Maud, George M. Cornett's daughter-in-law, visited the Cornett's in Gold Hill, Oregon sometime before 1977, presumably while Stella lived with Ornan's family. Grandma Allen very much wanted to visit these relatives. None of the older generation were at home, but he young people were friendly to them. One of the boys looked very much like Ornan & Dorothy's son, Phillip.896; Page 59, Line # 7, of Reel No. 17tlexy' [stroke], followed by this description. 'Went to basement of store to fire furnace and was found dead'. He was living at 330 First St., Prineville, OR at the time of his death.
