Notes about Elisabeth Antoinette Moore

She was the daughter of John Henry Moor, Editor of the Singapore Chronicle (Dec 12 1802 to 1843) and his wife Elizabethe Catherine Stocker.

From Una Sait's manuscript: "The Life and Letters o
f Henry Meyners Bernard":

"My poor grandmother! Was she in love with the eligible bachelor whom she married while she was still playing with dolls. These she brought with her, to her new home, w
here she bore a baby a year until she had five sons. Then came an interval of three years before the birth of a daughter, Esther. So she had six children by the time she was twenty five. By that time
her health was undermined. She became an invalide and had no more children."

'While we were in London, Mamma and Flo had gone to make personal acquaintance with Esther Bernard's mother [Elizabeth A
ntoinette (Moor) Bernard] who lived in London but was more or less an invalid." From: Lucy Hopper. Memories of her youth 1870-1893. Transcribed in March 2000 by her grandson, Charles Cazalet, with p
hotographs added from the family archives. 2nd edition 2003. (Esther Bernard married Allan Hopper. Lucy Hopper was Allan's younger sister.)
