LifeSketch: Isabel Randolph, born about 1313, was the younger daughter of Thomas Randolph, Earl of Moray, nephew and companion-in-arms of Robert the Bruce, and Moray's wife, Isabel Stewart, herself a daughter of John Stewart of Bonkyll. abel married Sir Patrick Dunbar of Cockburn and Stranith, son of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Cockburn. This relationship has caused much confusion because Isabel's older sister Agnes Randolph married Patrick de Dunbar 9th Earl of March, who was the cousin of Isabel's husband. Because the 2 Randolph daughters both married a man named Patrick Dunbar, the 4 of them are often mistaken for each other. children are:n Maitland of Thirlstanegrandchildren, progeny of their oldest son George.346, in the battle of Neville's Cross, he was the older brother of Isabel and Agnes, with no male heirs. As a result Isabel and Agnes were co-heiresses of his estate. When Agnes died childless, circa 1367, the estate went to Isabel's children.g no more heirs of his body, the 9th Earl resigned his earldom in favor of his nephew George Dunbar, son of Isobel and Patrick. George was the Earl's nephew by marriage but more importantly he was the 9th Earl's blood relative. 7th Earl of Dunbar.e had reverted to the crown, but was now restored to the same bloodline.h of both her mother and her Aunt Agnes, Agnes became the mistress of King David II of Scotland. David wanted to divorce his wife Margaret Drummond but Pope Urban V refused him. When King David died in 1371 he was still plotting a way to marry Agnes. The next year Agnes married James Douglas of Dalkeith and Aberdour.fied as Agnes. Elizabeth married John Maitland of Thirlestane and Lethington.
