LifeSketch: Thomas Randolph was the oldest son of Thomas Randolph, 1st Earl of Moray and his wife Isabel Stewart. His date of birth is not known, his parents are said to have married in 1306, therefor, Thomas was likely born about 1307, possibly when his father was a captive of the English. Thomas had 3 younger siblings: John, Agnes and Isabel (also known as Geilis)of King Robert I (Robert the Bruce) and was created the Earl of Moray in 1312. He went on to be Guardian of Scotland, Regent for King David II.
