    LifeSketch: Thomas Randolph was the oldest son of Thomas Randolph, 1st Earl of Moray and his wife Isabel Stewart. His date of birth is not known, his parents are said to have married in 1306, therefor, Thomas was likely born about 1307, possibly when his father was a captive of the English. Thomas had 3 younger siblings: John, Agnes and Isabel (also known as Geilis)of King Robert I (Robert the Bruce) and was created the Earl of Moray in 1312. He went on to be Guardian of Scotland, Regent for King David II. The Randolph family were closely related to the Stewarts and Bruses and were loyal supporters of Scottish independence and the Scottish crown. he 2nd Earl of Moray.land, with 2000 to 13,000 estimated deaths. Thomas Randolph, 2nd Earl of Moray, died that day, along with Donald, Earl of Mar, Lord Robert Bruce (son of Robert I), Alexander Fraser, High Chamberlain of Scotland, and the Earl of Menteith, only to name a few.d him to become the 3rd Earl of Moray.
