Hier is hij ook kandidaat-notaris geworden en later is hij in Hillegom als kandidaat-notaris begonnen. In 1959 werd hij tot notaris benoemd in Lisse. Toen hij in 1973 met pensioen ging verhuisden ze mnaar Maarn.
