On December 13, 1975, he married the love of his life, Virginia Smith. He retired from Telcom Credit Union, having served as a branch manager. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, and the Bradbury Condominium Association. He enjoyed golfing, learning about the Civil War, and genealogy. Survived by his loving children, Barbara Sue (Wade) Sander and Robert (Barbara) Vreeland, Jr. Proud grandfather of three. Great grandfather of two. Also survived by 3 nieces.

Robert D. Vreeland

Age 88, of Plymouth, passed away March 3, 2009. Born in Detroit on January 1, 1921. On December 13, 1975, he married the love of his life, Virginia Smith. He retired from Telcom Credit Union, having served as a branch manager. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Plymouth, and the Bradbury Condominium Association. He enjoyed golfing, learning about the Civil War, and genealogy. Survived by his loving children, Barbara Sue (Wade) Sander and Robert (Barbara) Vreeland, Jr. Proud grandfather of Ashlee (John) Vogt, Robert & James Vreeland. Great grandfather of Ella & Evelyn. Also survived by 3 nieces. Funeral service Friday 11:00am from the First United Methodist Church, 45201 North Territorial Rd., Plymouth. Visitation Thursday 3-9pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main, Plymouth, and at church Friday 10:30am until time of service. Memorials may be made to the church.
